I ordered this book for my granddaughters based on the online description. When the book arrived I was even more pleased. It talks about speaking up when needed, saying no to friends, practicing kindness and many other issues young children face in their everyday lives. Colorful, multicultural illustrations are delightful. When a dificult decision or situation arises, it advises children "to listen for that quiet voice inside" and when they do, that voice can be their guide. I can hardly wait to share this book with my granddaughters in person!

Absolutely love this book. It is so refreshing to see children of different ethnicities, religions and abilities all in a positive light. Bought for my autistic three year old. Would recommend to any parent.

Kids were not interested

Many times bibliotherapy books for kids focus on the art or the heart of the matter, and miss the variety of how anxiety and coping strategies manifests...but this little book is on point and also concisely provides a good premise for individualizing treatment.

I bought this book for my fiance who is a social worker and she has done nothing but rave about how well this book connects with kids. There are so many examples of how kids 'can do hard things' that every kid can find at least one that applies to them and then they can turn and look at the other examples and relate. Such a powerful, easy to read and easy to process book! Highly recommend

This book validates that sometimes our kids receive so many messages that they might feel "wobbly". It encourages kids to listen for the "quiet voice inside" and in doing so they find that they "can do hard things." The illustrations provide images that promote and encourage discussion. At the end of the book, the author provides us with an activity that is an easy way to get students and adults involved in the practice of mindful affirmations.I'm a speech language pathologist and I work with kids with special needs. This book will be a wonderful tool to help remind my students that they can do hard things, while at the same time recognizing their own inherent beauty and strength. For classroom teachers, this book provides a wonderful launching off point for promoting mindfulness and self compassion. I can see mindfulness corners in classrooms, homes and therapy rooms coming soon with this book as a guide!! Thank goodness books like this are created and shared with our world for both adults and children. All of Gabi Garcia's books are important tools on any mindful bookshelf.

Wonderful book. I love the affirmations and artwork. It’s a children’s book, but is great for adults too. I find that I always feel more relaxed after I read it.
