I noticed the other reviews were for the Sacred Woman book or for Queen herself, so I thought I would take the time to write a review that actually speaks to the product--the Sacred Woman 84 Day Healing Journal. I got mine from Queen Afua's Wellness University while taking her Sacred Woman Rites of Passage course.This is the journal to purchase if you are planning on going through every single Gateway in the Sacred Woman book from beginning to end. It would not be useful to you if you do not have the book because it does not have very much written on the inside--just a few choice quotes for each Gateway. There also isn't very much space--about a page for each day, so this may or may not be a problem for you. But maybe you are going to take a month with each Gateway or you want to just write poetry in this journal, or you write 5 minute timed synopsis, there are many ways to utilize a journal such as this when on your healing journey...This is a good journal if you like having a matching and complete set of things you use, if you like having something already split up for you before you begin, if you love supporting Queen and her movement, if you are on a renewed path of dedication to this journey, these are all good reasons to get this reasonably priced journal. If you don't have extra money I would suggest using this money towards getting the Sacred Woman Medicine Woman CD!
I keep this journal, Sacred Women and Heal Thyself on my iPad and on my nightstand next to my bible for quick reference as I have read them several times. I have purchased several printed books of Sacred Women and Heal Thyself online and in store to give a gifts. I first would like to say that a male friend recommended Queen Afua to me. In doing my research I made it my business to reach out to her to ask questions. I was lucky enough to speak with her several times and her knowledge is like talking to a person whose spirit has live a long time. Her wisdom is simple and kind. It truly has been a blessing for me. I not a person that takes medications and I don't have any illness that I have to deal with on a daily basis (i.e. high blood pressure etc.) but I will say that I needed to get healthier. I incorporated Queen Afua's teachings with those that have been shared with me by my mother, my Grandmother who passed away at 103 years old and my Aunt whose is alive today 1/24/17 at 109 years old. If you want to improve your life, you must put in the work for yourself. Take some time to read what Queen Afua shares and Heal Yourself because if you don't think you are a SACRED WOMAN, who will?!
At 65, I'm finally learning how to be my best self. This book is full of information and details about the "ancient" ways: food preparation, hygiene, environment among other things. But the main thing is developing your Spirituality! Not religion. But becoming one with God, the Universe, the Spirit that controls you and the universe that you've created!You ARE the Sacred Woman!Asé
It’s basically just a blank journal with lines for you to write..... not a guided journal.The book and a regular priced journal will be fine.... well in my opinion. I just thought it was more to it. But to each it’s own
I thought I was buying the actual book and not a 13 dollar worthless journal. This is over priced and only 5 dollars more than the book. I will charge this to the game.
